Digital Video Classes

Introduction to Digital Filmmaking:
This 6-week (18 hour) class gives students an overview of the digital filmmaking process.  We will the planning process, cover camera operation and video composition techniques and digital video editing on Apples Final Cut Pro software. At the end of the 6-week period students will have produced their own short film.

Digital Video in the Community:
This 6-week (18 hour) class takes students to the next level in digital video production. During this week students will learn the basics of storytelling and how to make their video interesting. Advanced camera and editing techniques will be covered. My the end of the week each student will have produced a community service news story that will air on myHBG.tv

Digital Video Editing:
This 6-week (18hour) class gives students an overview of the post-production process and an overview of Apples Final Cut Pro digital editing software. It is suggested that students have already completed the Introduction to Digital Filmmaking class, however is will not be a prerequisite. Textbook purchase required for this class.

Creating Your Own Videos:
In this workshop we’ll look at the reasons why your organization would want to create your own video’s verses purchasing one that were created somewhere else.  We will talk about the practical uses for video, the equipment that you’ll need, training, and planning. Come prepared with questions as this is a real practical workshop.
